SAMSUNG EX-1
See my new cam cam! :D I love it!

It has this black overall casing and blocky shape that is old-school but instead of looking outdated, it looks very vintage and awesome to the touch. Very solid, not filmsy and not heavy.
The lens on the front dominates most of the camera and makes it seems like a mini professional cam! :D That said, the camera lens doesn't jut out so much that it's cumbersome. It's very slim and boasts of a great display screen on the back.
On to the boring deets, here are the highlights of the specs:
10 Megapixels, 3.8x Zoom, S1.8 (can capture a lot of light quickly and that means SUPERB night shots), 3 inch amoled display (can be folded inwards when not in use), full manual control capability, 24mm F1.8 Schneider KREUZNACH lens (one of the world's oldest and finest lens designers and manufacturers.).
Here's the product site, and the review from cnet.
I just bought it yesterday so I haven't really played with it yet. But according to the guys who sold me the camera, they told me that this is even better and more compact and cheaper than the Canon G11!! How awesome is that.
Of course I didn't take their word for it la. They took shots for me side by side and all. Prior to walking into the shop, I already had the intention to buy this camera but for form's sake (since I've always lusted after the G11), I asked the price of the G11 first. Then they asked me why G11 when there's Samsung EX-1!
Just nice.
All in all, there's a lot to like about this camera and I think that this camera is definitely a notch above the rest in the same price point. I'm sure it will be much of a joy in the coming weeks to try this little new baby out. :)
Will show you the pics soon! :D Time to retire my old Lumix! :D

Take some great pics with this camera soon!
yup I will! :)
I find that nowadays most designs comes in black and look vintage... Probably the trend in cams right now. =D I seen Canon's powershot that look like this too and I'm so going to get it (main reason: rotatable screen!) =)
