Making Cents of a Punjabi Marriage

Punjabi woman says to her mother:

'I'm divorcing Jita ...
all he wants is anal sex
and my asshole is now
the size of a 50 cent coin
when it used to be the
size of a 5 cent coin.'

Mother says:
'You're married to a millionaire lawyer
... you live in an 8 bedroom mansion in Taman Tun
... you drive a Mercedes
... you get RM10,000 a week allowance
... you take 6 vacations a year ...

and you want to throw all that away for 45 cents?'

An old photo I found

Let me tell you a funny story that happened some time back...

Photobucket

See this? Yes. It's myself and 3 other guys playing mahjong. This was during one of the company trips with my ex-employer. We were on a 3D2N cruise trip if I don't remember wrongly.

To my right is Liong Hong, then Kerk and then ALS.

So the 4 of us were playing happily. Or rather, maybe only 3 of us - 'cept for ALS. You know how with mahjong, you are supposed to take new cards from the one direction? Well, ALS kept taking it the "flower" end!

The other 3 of us were quite pissed with ALS for taking it from the wrong side all the time that we decided to FINE him 10 cents every time he takes from the wrong pile. 10 cents - to EACH of us.

It's so damn funny.

I think he paid out 30 cents to each of us in the end.

So here we were, merrily playing our game when another one of our colleagues, Admund, came over to look.

His immediate comment was, "eh? How come you guys are taking the new cards from the wrong side? You all play wrong direction already!"

We started laughing out loud! The three of us really didn't know - and I guess 3 persons who don't know has a stronger combined voice than 1 poor ALS who wasn't very sure. Hahaha!

Ah, the story of ALS being bullied by us!

Photobucket

In the end, I won a bit! :)

Wah, if I strike Toto....

This has to be everyone's favourite topic in Singapore.

If I strike Toto, I will #@$O#*$@)#$*)@#

I don't know about you but this sure as hell is my favourite daydream!

If I strike Toto, I will buy a HDB Flat and a car.

Or maybe a landed property (since 1 mil can't buy me much).

Or maybe buy a lower-end condo and get in debt for the HDB Flat, that way I can stay in one and rent out the other.

Or maybe a high-end condo (don't think 1 mil is enough for this)

I still need a day job no doubt.

I will keep some for my family... (but to my family who are reading this, don't count on it! LOL)

I will save a lot and have no change in my lifestyle! Ok, maybe I will splurge on one thing.

YES. I’m afraid my daydream has to be realistic and end here. 1 million can make me a little more comfortable in Singapore but that's about it - I sure as hell won't complain if I were to win a million dollars!

I'll prolly go crazy and keep going to the ATM machine to check out my incredible bank account balance. LOL!

Ah life. Reality is never that easy.

I often find that if I am at a crossroad, the correct route to take is often the one that is harder. That’s the way the cookie crumbles.

So what will you do if you strike Toto?

Review: Touch Phone

Have you all heard of Touch Phones? Well not literally but there is a site in the UK that boasts of being the Ultimate Touch Screen Phone Comparison Site!

Today we are bombarded with all kinds of touch phones with different sets of functionalities and specifications – a site like this will be quite useful eh? More so when it comes with prices!

Recently I have been lemming for this Nokia Touch Phone N97. I super love the look of it lor!

Alas, my stupid M1 contract is not due for renewing yet so got to wait before I can buy this phone at a discount.

Anyway back to the site. If you’re in the UK, you can really find this site useful. There are some Cheap Touch Screen Phones in this site! I especially loved the "compare phones by tariff" plugin. It's so fun to be able to customize your search to such a level. They have quite a lot of different types of touch phone there - making it a great place to begin your research on which Touch Phone to own next.

I was looking at the BlackBerry Storm as well to see why my brother has been crazy over wanting it. Well that guy has a iphone now!!! While I am stick with the lousy LG KU990 Viewty! The camera sucks! I wish I had done more research on this phone before purchasing it.

Honestly as a user, I would hesitate to buy from this site because of it's odd interface. There is no header, no company name, no logo and their privacy policy and terms of service links are not working. While I really liked the ability to browse based on contract options and other features, there needs to be more professional touchups and reassurances from this site that everything is genuine, that the company is genuine.

Just my two cents! ;)

The things our parents did for us.

What I'm about to share with you is a short video about a Father and Son on a bench. I hope, by watching this, it will, like it did to me, reel you in a bit and appreciate your family more.

It is a touching scene. But there are many things that passed us by in the course of our life, and we never appreciated them until they are gone forever. It is akin to "familiarity breeds contempt". We often forget the love we received but quick to show our contempt !

Our parents and siblings ain't gonna be with us forever..... the respect we give with love, care and gratitude should always be spontaneous.

It is a different respect from the one which one has to earn through good qualities or achievements.

Take nothing for granted.

Presenting, Greek Film made in 2007 called Τι είναι αυτό

I see a bit of myself in this video and I feel extremely bad. I told my mom I'm going to be more patient with her. She deserves at least that for all the times I've ever tested her patience.

Thanks mom, for everything.

House-hunting update

My mom has finally agreed on supporting me in my decision to buy a house. What a great relief. Now, I can really tell agents that I can commit.

I've found a place I am ready to commit to so YAY #1.

I've found the right bank to loan from, so YAY #2

Now, it will be to see if the negotiation for the house comes through. Will the seller agree to my asking price?
